Electronics time.

At last it is starting to look like a droid

Mocking up the electronics and running the first working test. Everything worked fine and there seems to ber a great deal of power available from the two 33Amp SLA batteries.

For those that are interested in the tech:
ESC. Sabretooth dual 25x2- main drive.
ESC Sabretooth 25 - head
8 circuit fuse box
Spektrum AR8000 Receiver plus telemetry.
RF Wireless relay switch board
8Amp BEC.
Speakon connector for motor disconnect.
6 40 Amp switches.
35Amp, 27Amp, 17Amp wire used.
15Amp 24v to 12v Regulator
Two 10cm 4ohm 200w speaker
500w stereos amp, 35RMS per channel.
12 Circuit slip ring 2 Amps per circuit.
Dual 33Amp SLA batteries
Foggy smoke machine
Compressed gas system, with solenoid trigger.

The electronics board is made up outside the droid and the whole board is designed to be removable. I found this the best solution for working on updates later.

Instead of going for three batteries I am using a 24v to 12v step down regulator for the 12v electronics. Only time will tell if this is a good idea or not. The same system seemed to work well in my Dalek Caan build, although heat was an issue.

New softer scooter wheels will replace the stock caster wheels on the front legs.
They track much better and are much quieter.

Speakers and amp for the Bluetooth sound system. All the wiring loom is also complete.

12 circuit electronic slip ring to move power and servo control from the head to body.

Lots of Blue LED strip ready to go into the body and head once it is painted. The black satin finish on the body combined with the very bright blue LED/s should look very good.
